Experience Makes a Difference: Founded in January, 1990, Criterion Cellular, a privately owned company, was established as a Technical Service/Support and mobile installation company for cellular customers and carriers (Cellular One, GTE-Verizon, Cingular-PacBell, Sprint, AT&T, etc.) in the SF Bay area. Our services are also utilized by top level government agencies and Fortune 100 companies. Our customer base has expanded over the past 14 years to over 70,000 and is growing rapidly. Words mean things! |

Our name has great importance to us! Though the word CRITERION is not an everyday word, the plural of criterion - criteria is used quite frequently. The word CRITERION represents our goal to maintain this organization as a standard for trust and quality in today's cellular industry! From our service to our products, we strive to provide no less than the best performing products and highest quality services to our customers. We named our company Criterion so our customers would have a standard to compare other cellular companies to. Who is PhoneGear.com? We thought Criterion was a great name but we found that for many people it was difficult to remember when it comes to an internet address. For convenience we have also enabled access to this site by using the URL - PhoneGear.com . Either way, we're the same company, we just want you to remember us. A Plethora of Worthless Stuff We are bombarded daily with hundreds of solicitations from manufacturers and distributors from all over the world who want us to sell their products. From multi-LED flashing antennas and batteries, patch antennas, holiday faceplates and cases made of interesting materials, we see it all. If these companies are willing to send us a sample (most are) we proceed to test and evaluate their products. Of these products we have tested we find that approximately 90% of them are worthless junk. Products that REALLY work! It is of the greatest importance to us that the products we sell perform to our highest expectations . The products found on this web site have passed (and continue to pass) our testing, abuse and evaluation for quality and performance . If a product fails to work for us it will likely fail for our customers. This would be unacceptable! We expect no less than the best products to be shipping out of our facility. High Performance - Value Priced: Great products would be nothing without great pricing . We strive to keep the pricing of our products competitive while at the same time preserving product quality and providing the same high level of customer service our customers are accustomed to. You may find lower pricing than ours but we guarantee you will not find better products or a more stable organization dedicated to service and customer satisfaction . In general, we think you'll find our pricing to be the best value for your money. It's just not the same without YOU! One of the disadvantages of the internet means that we no longer have the opportunity to meet all of our customers face to face or even voice to voice. All of the fine people who work here at Criterion Cellular are friendly ,knowledgeable and available to assist you. We believe in treating our customers the way we would want to be treated. Whether you are placing an order online, sending email, calling us or sending a fax, we strive to make your contact with us a convenient ,comfortable and pleasant experience. Our goal is to earn your trust as a valued customer NOT to merely perform a merchandise transaction. Where we are: We operate a small office in San Rafael, California and a warehouse in El Sobrante, California. We stock all of our products here and ship them daily to our customers across the US. Please note, we DO NOT use other companies to fulfill or ship our orders, everything from order entry, billing, packing and shipping is done right here from our facility . Additionally, our manufacturer certified technicians travel around the SF Bay Area providing existing customers on-site technical support and installations in fully equipped service vans. |

The Red, White, Blue theme and the American Flag in our logos have been in use on our site since about 1997. We love our country and the colors that represent it. I guess you would say we're "flag waving" patriotic Americans and proud of it! As a result of the September 11th attack on America, and the recent war in Iraq, many Americans are showing their support by affixing American Flags and related items to their cars and houses. If you are showing your support for America in this way we applaud and encourage you to continue doing so. Our thoughts and prayers go out not only to those who have experienced loss as a result of the horrific attack on September 11th, but also to the dedicated men and women of our US Military and public service people who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom!
