In other words it does not make a direct connection to the pc board of the phone since the manufacturer has made no accommodation for it on this model. Inductive type adapters have been used in the cellular industry for years and are a fairly legitimate method of coupling an external antenna; however, inductive coupling does not perform as well as a phone with a direct antenna connection to the pc board. This adapter may work just fine for your particular application, then again it may not provide any significant gain.
